£1.7M Revamp for Llandrindod Wells Hospital

A new birthing centre is to be developed at Llandrindod Wells Memorial Hospital as part of a £1.7m investment by the Welsh Labour Government to enhance the hospital.

The million pound investment will also see essential improvements made to the hospital building, including improvements to the roof and front elevation. The redeveloped midwife-led unit will offer the very best facilities for mothers and babies, while the inclusion of a birthing pool will increase birthing options for families.

The hospital will remain fully operational while the external upgrades are carried out and, despite the extensive maintenance required outside and the interior layout changes, for patients and staff it will be business as usual.
