Theresa May wants to make this election all about Brexit to avoid scrutiny of the Tories’ record of failure in Wales and across the UK.
Response to Theresa May’s Western Mail article
Responding to Theresa May’s article in the Western Mail, a Welsh Labour spokesperson said:
“Theresa May wants to make this election all about Brexit to avoid scrutiny of the Tories’ record of failure in Wales and across the UK.
“But the truth is that this general election is a clear choice between a Welsh Labour Party who will stand up for our communities and our public services - and a Tory Party who are failing the people of Wales.
"The Tories have starved our public services of funds and left working families worse off, and their reckless pursual of hard Brexit is bad for Wales.
“In contrast, our Welsh Labour Government led by Carwyn Jones has protected vital services and fought for a fair deal for Wales. The message couldn’t be clearer - the only way to stop the Tories walking all over Wales is to vote Welsh Labour”.
