Commenting on today’s unemployment figures, First Minister Carwyn Jones said:
"Today's unemployment figures show the value of a Welsh Labour Government which is willing to go out and fight for better jobs, closer to people's homes. Wales now has an unemployment rate lower than the UK average, and significantly lower than London and lower than Scotland.
Our investment in education, skills, apprenticeships and Jobs Growth Wales has given businesses, large and small, the confidence they need to take people on - even though margins remain tight for many. Employment rates are now at a record high.
Wales is working, and that's great news for our communities. All this would be put at risk by a Welsh Government led by the Tories who do not believe in giving people and business the helping hand they need to thrive."
