As we enter the final 12 days of the campaign, Welsh Labour activists are out across Wales speaking to voters about Welsh Labour’s ambitious plan to move Wales forward at this Senedd election.

Campaign activists have spoken to tens of thousands of people since in-person campaigning resumed, and the message on the doorstep is clear – people are backing Welsh Labour to deliver the jobs Wales needs. There is also widespread support for Mark Drakeford’s cautious, careful, and straight-talking approach to move past the pandemic.

Speaking ahead the first full weekend of in-person campaigning in Wales, Welsh Labour’s Deputy Leader, Carolyn Harris MP, said:

“Speaking to people is the best bit of any campaign, and it’s been quite strange not being out on the doorstep until recently!

“This weekend I’ll be joining thousands of campaigners across Wales, and getting stuck in to a full weekend of doorstep campaigning. We’ll be talking about Welsh Labour’s plan for thousands of new jobs across Wales.

“With every poll showing the danger that the Tories pose at this election, our message will be crystal clear. Only a vote for Welsh Labour will protect Welsh jobs and keep the Tories out – while a vote for Plaid risks letting the Tories in through the back door.

“There will be no let up until May 6th, as the whole Welsh Labour family pulls together to elect a Welsh Labour Government that keeps Moving Wales Forward.”
